This is Mexico’s 2008 home shirt by adidas, worn during the qualification period for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The classic green base is paired with white adidas stripes, red detailing and curved graphic panels that give the shirt a distinctly late-2000s look.
The Márquez #4 nameset makes this shirt especially significant. Rafael Márquez was Mexico’s captain and defensive leader, one of the country’s most important players of the 2000s and a key figure during the road to South Africa 2010. His calm presence, passing quality and leadership made him central to Mexico’s identity during this era.
For collectors, this is a strong Mexico piece because it combines the classic green home colour, long sleeves, official qualification patch and one of El Tri’s most iconic players. A proper late-2000s adidas national-team shirt with real character.
