This Manchester United 2015/16 third shirt is produced by adidas, marking the early years of the club’s adidas era after the switch from Nike. The front features the adidas Performance logo and the Manchester United crest, both executed in a striking red finish that gives the shirt its distinctive modern identity. Across the chest sits the instantly recognisable Chevrolet sponsor in metallic gold and silver, a detail that firmly places this kit in United’s mid-2010s period.
On the back, the shirt is finished with RASHFORD and 39, a print that carries serious collector appeal — capturing Marcus Rashford right at the beginning of his Manchester United journey, before the iconic #10 years that came later.
United’s 2015/16 third kit is a proper standout: a deep black base combined with intense red adidas detailing makes it look sharp, fast, and almost “stealth” in character. The red three-stripes run across the shoulders and are matched by bold red trim on the sleeves. The tonal pattern woven into the fabric adds subtle texture and depth, while the red crest gives the shirt a more contemporary, aggressive feel than a traditional full-colour badge would.
The 2015/16 season was a unique one for Manchester United — the club was still searching for stability in the post-Ferguson era under Louis van Gaal, but the year still ended with silverware in the form of the FA Cup.
Most importantly, this was the season when Marcus Rashford exploded onto the scene. His debut brace against Midtjylland and iconic goals against Arsenal instantly placed him in United folklore.
