The Adidas Denmark 2016 Away Football Shirt with Nicklas Bendtner #11 is one of the most memorable Denmark shirts of the modern era. Worn during UEFA Euro 2016, it marked Denmark's return to a major tournament after missing both the 2014 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2012. Featuring the country's all-time leading goalscorer, this shirt is closely associated with one of Denmark's most iconic and talked-about footballers.
Manufactured by Adidas, the away shirt features a clean white base with subtle horizontal tonal hoops across the chest, contrasted by black sleeves and side panels. Red detailing on the Adidas logo and Danish FA crest adds a touch of the national colours, while the lightweight Climacool construction ensures excellent breathability. The minimalist Scandinavian design reflects Denmark's tradition of understated yet elegant football shirts.
Nicklas Bendtner entered Euro 2016 as Denmark's focal point in attack. Although the team was ultimately eliminated in the play-offs by Sweden and did not reach the tournament in France, Bendtner remained one of Danish football's biggest personalities. His goals throughout the qualification campaign – including crucial strikes against Serbia and Armenia – kept Denmark in contention and reinforced his reputation as a decisive striker on the international stage.
Today, the Denmark 2016 away shirt with Bendtner #11 represents the final chapter of one of the country's most recognisable footballing eras before the emergence of a new generation led by Christian Eriksen, Kasper Schmeichel and Simon Kjær. It remains a sought-after shirt among Denmark supporters and collectors thanks to its clean Adidas design and connection to one of the nation's most memorable forwards.
