Uniquely bold, this kit combines a solid black base with striking yellow and black horizontal chest bands, breaking away from conventional soccer shirt designs at the time. The vivid chest stripe draws the eye, while the V-neck with yellow trim and matching sleeve accents provide a sharp, coherent look.
This was Columbus Crew’s very first home jersey, worn during the inaugural 1996 MLS season as the league’s first franchise. The shirt symbolized the new era of American professional soccer and set the visual tone for the team's identity.
Shirt condition: 8.5/10
