This is the Bayern Munich 2021/22 home shirt made by adidas, shown here with Musiala 42 on the back. It features Bayern’s traditional red base, the adidas logo, T-Mobile as the front sponsor, the club crest with five stars, and the FIFA Club World Cup champions badge on the chest. This example also has the Bundesliga champions patch on the sleeve and Qatar Airways sleeve sponsor.
The design is defined by the horizontal tonal stripe graphic across the front, creating a ripple-like effect rather than using plain block colour. The shoulders are finished with white adidas three stripes, while the darker red upper panel and V-style collar construction give the shirt a more modern look than some earlier Bayern home shirts. It is a very recognizable adidas-era Bayern design from the early 2020s.
The Musiala 42 print is especially relevant to this shirt. During the 2021/22 season, Jamal Musiala was still wearing number 42 and was emerging as one of Bayern’s most important young players. That makes this version more interesting from a collector perspective than a standard blank shirt, as it comes from the early stage of Musiala’s rise at senior level.
