This is the Bayern Munich 2012/13 third shirt made by adidas, shown here with Robben 10 on the back. It features a dark graphite/black base, silver adidas three stripes on the shoulders, subtle red accent detailing, the FC Bayern München crest with four stars on the chest, and the T-Mobile sponsor centrally on the front. The shirt also carries full UEFA Champions League sleeve patches, including the Respect badge and the “4” badge of honour, marking Bayern’s status as four-time European champions at that point. With Robben 10 on the back, it becomes even more desirable, as few players are more strongly tied to Bayern’s 2012/13 season than Arjen Robben.
The design feels sleek, modern, and distinctly elite-level. Rather than relying on Bayern’s usual red, the shirt goes in a much darker direction, using a near-black base with a subtle radiating graphic around the upper chest. That creates a sharper, more dramatic look than a standard home or away shirt and gives it a very premium feel. The silver detailing works especially well against the dark fabric, while the small red touches stop it from feeling too flat. The Robben 10 print suits the shirt perfectly too, adding to its sense of speed and elegance. It is one of those third shirts that feels more serious and refined than experimental.
This shirt is most closely associated with Bayern Munich’s 2012/13 season, one of the greatest campaigns in the club’s history. Bayern won the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, and UEFA Champions League, completing a historic treble. Arjen Robben was central to that story, most famously scoring the winning goal in the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley. Because of that, this shirt has very strong collector appeal. It is not just a Bayern third shirt, but a Robben-era piece from a treble-winning season, which is exactly why it stands out so strongly among modern Bayern shirts.
