The Arsenal 2020/21 home kit by Adidas retains the classic red body and white sleeves motif, but introduces a fresh graphic twist. A stylized chevron “A” motif is integrated as a tonal pattern across the torso, inspired by Arsenal’s Art Deco heritage from the 1930s–40s. The pattern nods to the geometric shapes found around the original Arsenal crest and even echoes the marble floors in the East Stand at Highbury. The white sleeves are plain and clean, helping the chevron pattern stand out. The back-neck area includes a detail where chevrons face both east and west — symbolizing past and present. The shade of red used across the kit is darker, deeper than some previous versions, lending a more heritage feel.
Arsenal launched this kit in July 2020, with its first official matchwear debut against Watford. The chevron-inspired graphic and deeper red were intended as a bridge between the club’s past and present in its visual identity. Bukayo Saka was one of the emerging stars of the team during this period, and versions of the shirt carrying his name/number are naturally tied to his growing importance in the side.
