Adidas - Arsenal FC 2019/20 Home Football Shirt 'SAKA'

This Arsenal 2019/20 home shirt was made by adidas and features Bukayo Saka’s #77 nameset together with FA Cup sleeve detailing. The season was a breakthrough campaign for Saka, who established himself in Arsenal’s first team at just 18 years old and became one of the most exciting players to emerge from the club’s academy in years.

The design marked adidas’ return as Arsenal’s kit supplier for the first time since the 1993/94 season. It features the club’s traditional red body and white sleeves, complemented by navy detailing around the V-neck collar and cuffs and white adidas Three Stripes across the shoulders. The Fly Emirates sponsor completes a design that deliberately draws on the classic aesthetic of Arsenal shirts from previous adidas eras.

The 2019/20 campaign was a season of considerable change at Arsenal, with Mikel Arteta replacing Unai Emery as head coach midway through the campaign. Despite finishing eighth in the Premier League, Arsenal ended the season by winning the FA Cup, defeating Manchester City 2–0 in the semi-final before beating Chelsea 2–1 at Wembley to secure a record-extending 14th FA Cup title.

Saka was one of the major discoveries of the season. Still wearing the academy-associated #77 before switching to #7 the following year, he made 38 first-team appearances across all competitions, scoring four goals. His versatility saw him feature both further forward and at left-back, while he also played an important role in the FA Cup run, recording a goal and an assist across four appearances in the competition.

For collectors, the combination of Saka #77, FA Cup detailing and Arsenal’s first adidas home shirt in more than two decades makes this a particularly significant modern Arsenal piece. It captures Saka at the very beginning of his rise from Hale End prospect to first-team star, during the same season in which he won the first major trophy of his senior career.
