Guidelines for Washing Football Shirts with Print
To ensure the longevity of your football shirt and protect its print, follow these washing and care instructions:
General Care
- Do not follow the care label inside the shirt, as it may not be suitable for preserving the print.
- Always turn the shirt inside out before washing to reduce friction and wear.
- Avoid fabric softeners, as they can degrade the print and affect fabric performance.
Washing Instructions
- Hand wash only – machine washing can cause damage.
- Use cold water (30°C or lower) to prevent weakening of adhesives and prints.
- Choose a mild detergent; avoid harsh chemicals that can cause fading or cracking.
- Gently agitate the fabric by hand – do not scrub or wring.
- Wash separately or with similar lightweight fabrics to avoid abrasion.
Drying Instructions
- Air dry only – avoid tumble drying, as heat can damage the print.
- Hang or lay flat to dry in a shaded area, away from direct sunlight.
- Do not wring the fabric to remove excess water, as this can distort the shirt and stress the print.
Ironing Instructions
- Always turn the shirt inside out before ironing.
- Use low heat (110°C or lower, typically the first or second setting on an iron) and place a protective cloth between the iron and the fabric.
- Do not use steam, as excess moisture can weaken adhesives.
